In 2018 my son Zach and I traveled with a small team of volunteers and S4S staff to Honduras. We sorted shoes, loaded vans, and headed each day to a different village or school.
Every day I was reminded that borders shouldn't matter. Every child, every human being, deserves kindness, safety, education and a future they can look forward to.
Book ’Em Reading is Fundamental
I love my 4th graders!! Volunteering to read with kids in Metro schools is one of the highlights of my life! When I started, I thought I'd just read. But we do so much more! We share stories, we discuss books and we write. Children truly are he future!
